ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. -- A badly injured bald eagle that may have been shot is now in the care of a wildlife rescue group.
Wild Heart Ranch took in the American symbol Saturday night after a game warden found it hurt near the Arkansas border.
It's unclear what caused such a serious injury to her wing, but she can no longer fly. Investigators are now working to determine if someone shot at the eagle, which is being called Gentry.
Veterinarians at the Tulsa Zoo are currently treating Gentry. She will come back to Wild Heart Ranch, where the group will work on her recovery and eventual transfer to a captive eagle program.
