Are you ready to see the "Strawberry" full moon?

Don't know what that is? It's okay,  here's a quick synopsis of what a "Strawberry" moon is.

The "Strawberry" Moon is the name for June's moon. It got the name because a few Native American tribes gathered strawberries during this time.

Almanac.com has a full breakdown of where the name came from:

This is an age-old practice, nothing new. Ancient peoples commonly tracked the seasons by following the lunar calendar (versus today’s solar calendar).

For millennia, people across the world, including Native Americans, named the months after nature’s cues. Later, Colonial Americans adopted many of the Native American names and incorporated them into the modern calendar.

The moon will be visible tonight, June 27, until the early tomorrow morning.
