Body of missing Nebraska woman found after she was supposed to meet an online date

LINCOLN, Nebraska (KMTV) — The family of Sydney Loofe is confirming reports that her body has been found. 

Loofe, 24 was last seen in Lincoln, Nebraska on Nov. 15 and reported missing the next day. Loofe was last heard from when she posted on social media before going on a date. 

The family posted on the Finding Sydney Loofe Facebook page: "It's with heavy hearts that we share this most recent update with you all. Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family. May God grant eternal rest unto thee. We love you Sydney."

Loofe's  family did not say when or where her body was recovered.

Loofe was reported missing Nov. 16. Several law-enforcement agencies including the FBI have been involved in the search. Her cell phone last pinged in the Wilber area, which is where the search was focused last week.

Two persons of interest in the Loofe case, 51-year-old Aubrey Trail and 23-year-old Bailey Boswell remain in the Saline County jail on a federal hold.  

The FBI and Lincoln Police will hold a news conference at 8:45 a.m. CT Tuesday in Lincoln.
