The oldest person in Oklahoma was born on October 1, 1906 in the town of Marrieta. This year Mittie Dailey will be 110 years old.
She has outlived all but one of her children, Betty Williams, who is in her 80s.
"She has been an example of what she, a spouse, expected me to live and to do," said Williams.
Dailey's family has six living generations.
"My grandmother had six children, 21 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, 80, great-great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-great grandchildren," said Sonya Faggett.
Faggett and the rest of the family said Dailey has been a woman of her faith. They said she married the love of her life and were together for more than 50 years before Dailey's husband passed away in 1982.
During the interview, Dailey said the secret to a long and happy life is God.
"Her favorite saying is God is God and always will be God," said her daughter.
Their granddaughters resonated that thought saying their grandmother was always a woman of conviction who instilled in them Christian values.
One thought they couldn't leave out in the interview was that Dailey was an amazing cook during her younger years. They said she cooked for many prominent families in Bartlesville.
They said her dinner rolls were the best.
At the end of the interview, Dailey's family wished her a happy mother's day, which drew a huge smile on her face.
She currently lives at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center in Bartlesville, where the staff said she is loved by everyone.
