Tulsa County employees decorate 'giving tree'

The "giving Christmas tree" is covered in snacks, gloves, scarves and hats. Everything is up for grabs to anyone who needs them.

Tulsa County Clerk Michael Willis says his office came up with the idea last year after decorating the tree for Christmas.

" Sometimes folks will bring coats or jackets or scarves or blankets to put up there so it's been a really neat project. The great thing is it started out in my office, the county clerks office, but we have help coming to us from items being donated from the Court clerk's office, from the Treasurer's office, from the board of County Commissioners a lot of county departments and people who work in this building,"
"We hope that people see that stuff and aren't apprehensive about grabbing something off the tree because it is there for a resource for all," Willis said.
