Matthews, a former professional soccer player, is now a fitness trainer. She’s been posted clips of workouts showing off her baby bump on Instagram, and it looks as though she was feeling good in the final weeks of her pregnancy.
The arrival of the baby girl lit up social media, where the newborn quickly became a trending topic on Twitter. Congratulations poured in for the family, including plenty of love from Kansas City.
Kansas City’s Union Station created a lovely gift for baby Sterling. A display of pretty pink-and-white lights adorned the building to wish the new family “many happy years together in KC.”

Mahomes’ football career has kept him busy in recent months — he just played in his second Super Bowl, on Feb. 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, his mind has been on fatherhood. The day after his team’s loss in the big game, he told reporters one of his biggest goals for the offseason was to prepare for fatherhood.
“I’ve got to work on becoming a better dad even though I haven’t become one yet,” he said, according to ESPN.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We know who’s the MVP of the family now!
