OWASSO, Okla. — This week's FNL Player of the Week, sponsored by Wholesale Computer Supply, is Owasso Senior Defensive Back Gage Laney.
It was a record-setting night for Laney as he snagged three interceptions, including one returned for touchdown, in the Rams' 34-14 defeat of Union in the 6A-II District Opener.
Laney has now intercepted a pass in every game this season and has registered six interceptions on the year.
Laney also set a new school record for career interceptions with 14. He broke the record of his old middle school coach, Brent Goins, who played for Owasso in the mid-1980s.
