Okla. Olympians: 3 time All-American wrestler Kenny Monday took home gold in '88 games

This Oklahoma Olympian was a state champion and a three time All-American wrestler at the collegiate level before becoming a gold medalist by the age of 21.

Kenny Monday is a Booker T. Washington alum, as well as Oklahoma State University. Monday was in college when he went to the Olympics in 1988.

 

Monday worked alongside his fellow Cowboy Olympian, John Smith, as Oklahoma State’s wrestling coach before starting his own wrestling camp.

These days, Monday is most remembered for being a proud gold medal winner from Oklahoma.
