TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Football made the wait, worth it.
Zach Smith threw for 233 yards and a touchdown on the opening drive. Deneric Prince and Corey Taylor II both rushed for touchdowns, as a balanced offensive attack and a dominating defensive effort, led by Linebacker Zaven Collins propelled Tulsa Football to a 42-13 defeat of South Florida — the team's first game played in 20 days.
The Hominy native Collins forced a fumble and returned an interception for touchdown.
TU improves to 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in American Athletic Conference play.
