Thief steals baby Jesus from Nativity

It's a hallmark of Christmas - the Nativity. You have Mary and Joseph, the shepherd and his flock, the three wise men. But at The Journey church the centerpiece, Jesus, is not in his manger.

It seems someone stole the statue.

But lead pastor Mike Boswell isn't shedding tears.

"All of us know that Jesus is alive,” he said. “He's not in a manger and that's why we celebrate Christmas and we just want the community to come out and celebrate with us."

The Nativity is just a small part of a 50,000-light show the church puts on every night. Though the Jesus statue was precious, Boswell and his church are choosing to turn the other cheek.

"God loves people, we love people, and we want people to find God through Jesus Christ," he said.

He even has a special message to whoever robbed their cradle.

"Whoever may have taken it, we'd love to invite them to come,” said Boswell. “They don't have to admit it but come and join us and become part of us."

The church is using the light show to raise money for the Women and Children’s Alliance.
